Wave Markings are created in the action of surf at the edge of the ocean. Tuning into tidal rhythms I guide prepared watercolor paper to intercept an incoming wave. Sumi'e ink creates the image as the wave breaks onto the paper. Spontaneity and chance are primary in this process in my collaboration with the sea.
